QOV 50 for 50 Challenge: An Overwhelming Success,
Exceeding THREE TIMES Our Goal !
Faithful Circle Quilters hit a grand slam home run in 2024! We asked our members if they thought the guild could make 50 Quilts of Valor for U.S. veterans in the year of our guild’s 50th anniversary. They answered with a resounding “YES” and more than did it!!
As we wrap up the QOV 50 for 50 Challenge, we will have tripled the goal, making more than 150 quilts. We have awarded over 90 of those quilts to veterans and active service members, and in total will have scheduled approximately 115 awards.
In 2025 we will record this historic project with a picture archive for the guild. In addition, we will award the remaining quilts to veterans who have not received a Quilt of Valor.
This project has been a profoundly moving and fulfilling experience. Thank you to all who contributed and shared in it. Your generosity of skill, time, and resources has touched many.

Quilters at this event had a fun and productive day. Rita Pennington, the Northern Illinois representative for Quilts of Valor, paid us a special visit! She inspired us and taught us how to award a QOV to a veteran.
